| Chamaedorea microspadix
Bamboo Palm
you are purchasing 10 fresh seeds
A clumping palm with thin stems up to 3 m (10 ft.) tall and just 1 cm in diameter, each topped by a crown of dark green, pinnate leaves. In the wild it forms dense colonies, and in cultivation it is useful as an undergrowth plant, tolerating quite deep shade. Small, round, bright red fruits are readily produced and add considerably to its attractiveness. Chamaedorea microspadix is best suited to temperateclimates and is one of the most cold tolerant Chamaedorea. It can take frost and prolonged cold down to -8°C/18°F unharmed. |
