A recently-described, attractive small palm from southern China , where it grows on steep limestone hills in tiny crevices often on sheer rock faces. Slow growing in the wild, but faster in cultivation with shade, good soil and an adequate supply of water. Eventually develops a small trunk and will accept light frosts.
