| Yucca campestris
Plains Yucca
A small, usually stemless Yucca native only to a small area in western Texas where it grows on deep, sandy soils, producing a dense rosette of narrow, wiry, bluish green leaves. The compact, densely branched inflorescence appears in early summer and carries numerous, large, greenish to pinkish flowers. It is very hardy to drought and severe freezes and will do best in the dry temperate garden. It is rather rare in cultivation
